Ryan Rosendal is a long-time film buff and award-winning filmmaker. For the University of Washington's Computer Animation Capstone program, Ryan worked on two animated short films in numerous capacities, including animator, storyboard artist, and concept artist.

This experience further fueled his passion for filmmaking, resulting in the animated short film, "Debut." "Debut" tells the story of a young filmmaker finding inspiration in the scenic Pacific Northwest, and was based on Ryan's experiences living in Washington State. Ryan served as the writer, illustrator, editor and director, and the resulting film went on to win the Washington Filmworks 2010 Viral Video competition.

For three years Ryan was a blog writer and blog manager for the University of Washington’s student newspaper, “The Daily.” His bi-weekly blog regularly dealt with the role of politics in the media, particularly in film and television. He also provided reviews of current films and cultural analysis of trends in filmmaking, creating an informative and fun look at politics in film.

You can visit Ryan at his online portfolio website, and check out his monster art at Many, Many Monsters (there's a tumblr too). He hopes you have fun.
